Umoren’s Movie “Children Of Mud” Set For Release

A child advocacy movie “Children of Mud” that seeks to rally support for abandoned and homeless children is set for release, its producer, Imoh Umoren disclosed on Wednesday.

According to him, the movie seeks to raise a voice against the common practice of stigmatising innocent children as outcasts under whatever guise by their supposed parents and guardians.

On his twitter handle @ImohUmoren, he expressed concerns over the worrisome situation “since there seems to be no one speaking against this inhuman practice.”

“How does a mother abandon her own child? How do you get to that point?

“Children of Mud is a story about hope, love and a bunch of kids trying to find their way to a miracle.

“It is dedicated to the homeless kids who are made outcasts by their families.

“Every year kids are abandoned or thrown out of their homes by their parents because of some archaic tradition and superstitions,” he said.

“As a society we need to do more to protect the helpless….as a filmmaker I need to bring these stories to you.

“I just hope my films help change society, even if it means just one person reaching out to another.

“That’s all I ever want to do,”he added.

Umoren, director and TV producer, worked on outstanding productions such as MTN Xtra Connect Game Show and MTV Base Advance Warning.

Rapper Skales To make Acting Debut In "Seeking Justice" | Fab.ng

Nigerian rapper Skales is making a surprising move from music to movies! Skales is set to star in his acting debut for the upcoming Nollywood thriller “Seeking Justice.” JJC Skillz directed the movie.

Just a day before his official announcement on May 7th, Skales sent fans into a frenzy with a social media post. He uploaded a video showing a very convincing makeup job – his face sported gashes on his head, temple, and bridge of his nose. The disturbingly realistic video offered no explanation, only a cryptic message: “THANK YOU JESUS.” Needless to say, fans were worried!

Thankfully, the unsettling video was revealed to be a clever promotional stunt for Skales’ role in “Seeking Justice.” Skales later took to Instagram to clear the air and express his gratitude to his fans for their concern. He also shared his excitement about venturing into acting and teased his upcoming role in the thriller.

This creative marketing tactic has certainly generated a lot of buzz for “Seeking Justice.” Fans are now eagerly awaiting both the movie’s release and Skales’ acting debut.

He also gave a shoutout to the talented makeup artist, Maryam Ndukwe O. He thanked his co-stars Deyemi Okanlawon and Eso Dike as well. They must play important roles in the movie too.

He said,

“Thanks to @deyemitheactor and @eso.dike for the acting tips and a special shoutout to the exceptional VFX artist @classic_makeova.”

The title “Seeking Justice” and a recent image Skales shared hint the thrilling movie is coming soon. Fans are excited to see Skales take on his first acting role and unravel the mysteries in the film. While the release date, plot details, and full cast haven’t been revealed yet, the buzz is definitely building!

Enioluwa Adeoluwa, a Nigerian influencer, is stepping into production with his debut project, the summer series “All of Us,” tackling themes of friendship, sexual assault, and the struggles of secondary school life.

Adeoluwa recently unveiled the teaser for his upcoming limited series “All of Us,” set to premiere later this year, generating anticipation among fans and followers.

Adeoluwa initially announced this project in March 2024 through a heartfelt Instagram post. He candidly expressed his mix of excitement and apprehension, stating, “Doing it scared. Unsure. Afraid. But doing it anyway.”

Furthermore, Adeoluwa revealed his collaboration with the Nigerian influencer collective, The Geng NG. He talked about the importance of their partnership in bringing the series to fruition.

“Working with the most amazing people on this, including @thegengng We are set to start Principal Photography and we are excited to create for you all.❤️”

The show was written by Emmanuel “Mannie” Oiseomaye. It’s not quite clear what the story is about yet, but the show will definitely deal with friendships, sexual assault, and the challenges teenagers face in high school.

Oluchi Mary Nsofor and Orire Nwani Hummer worked together to direct the series. The actors in the show are a mix of both new and experienced performers. Some of the bigger names are Shaffy Bello, Iyabo Ojo, and Kate Henshaw.

Kanayo O. Kanayo’s Son, Clinton Joins Movie Industry | Fab.ng

Nollywood star Kanayo O. Kanayo recently gave his son, Clinton, a chance to enter the film industry. Kanayo shared the news on his Instagram page. He showed Clinton meeting the crew of his production company, Simpliciter Associates Productions, on a movie set.

Clinton won’t be receiving special treatment, though.

Kanayo explained that his son would be working hard as both an assistant production manager and Kanayo’s personal assistant.

He said,

“This is Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, my first son. And he is joining us today as assistant production manager and as PA to me. Do not treat him like my son. It is a warning I am giving to everybody. He is here to work. He is going to earn a fee like every other person. Do not begin to say na K.O.K son. I no dey for that kind thing. Treat him as member of production crew. He is going to understudy the production manager and learn this work. Treat him with respect to the extent that you are treating others with respect. That is what I want him to grow into. I do not want you to spoil my son for me when you are not telling him not to do some things. So please, he is joining us today. He has just finished from Babcock University. He studied ICT.”

Kanayo also shared that Clinton is a recent graduate of Babcock University.

This film industry opportunity will allow Clinton to learn the ropes of filmmaking and management firsthand before he goes on to pursue further studies.

“My son, Clinton, Onyeze Mbaise, joins us as assistant production manager & my personal assistant. He is an intern to understudy filmmaking and management before proceeding for further studies. We should let our children work in our organisations or other establishments to appreciate industry. Kudos Onyeze. Welcome on board Simpliciter Associates Productions,” he wrote.

The ace actor is married to Nneka Onyekwere, and they have four children together—three boys and a girl.
