Ruger Speaks On Jealousy In The Nigerian Music Industry

Ruger Speaks On Jealousy In The Nigerian Music Industry | Fab.ng

Nigerian singer Ruger recently appeared on the “Bahd and Boujee Podcast,” where he shared his thoughts on maintaining strong relationships within the music industry. Ruger emphasised that avoiding envy is crucial for long-lasting friendships and collaborations.

He explained to the show’s hosts, Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe, that jealousy is the biggest threat to these bonds. Ruger went on to clarify his point, suggesting that envy can only disrupt friendships if the people involved are naturally prone to being envious.

He said, “I feel like it all depends on the kind of people they are. For example, if I’m not the kind of person that is generally envious, then I can’t be envious of my fellow artistes. I’d push him to do good for himself and everything because no matter what stage I am in my life or in my music, whether I’m not really popping at that time or I’m popping, I’m still going to push him. It depends on the kind of person you are as an individual. There’s no manual to it.”

The conversation then shifted towards the topic of music industry dynamics, particularly the presence of cliques. The hosts, Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe were curious to hear Ruger’s perspective. In response, he said…

There may be cliques in the industry, but I don’t really know. I’m a clique by myself.”

He continued, emphasising the need for support, “When artists from here meet each other outside the country, there’s unity, because when we’re out there, nobody can touch us, and no one can misbehave. Everyone is supporting each other, and that’s the thing.”

Actor Amaechi Muonagor Calls For Financial Aid... | Fab.ng

Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor is facing a health crisis. In a video circulating on social media on Monday, March 18th, 2024, the beloved actor appeared frail, lying in bed. The purpose of the video was to appeal to Nigerians for financial assistance.

Actor Kingsley Orji, present at Muonagor’s bedside, voiced the plea for help on Muonagor’s behalf. The funds are urgently needed to cover the costs of a kidney transplant surgery planned to take place in India.

Orji said,

“It has not been easy. He has been in this condition for months now. He wants to go for a kidney transplant. What we want is for you to help us for him to travel to India. He just came back from the ICU in Nnewi Teaching Hospital a couple of days ago. He was responding to treatment but not very well.”

Actor Kingsley Orji added another concerning detail: Amaechi Muonagor’s kidney problems have also affected his ability to speak clearly.

“We decided to bring him home because there was no money, but it is not advisable. He barely talks well. Please, he needs your help,” he said.

The post caption read,

Special Public Appeal on our Veteran Nollywood actor Amechi Monagor, please my brothers and sisters lets help him more to go for the kidney transplant in india.”

Back in early November of last year, Amaechi Muonagor revealed some difficult news. He had been diagnosed with kidney failure. To make matters worse, he also suffered a stroke that left him paralysed on one side of his body.

Further narrating, he said,

“I’m sick, this thing that is called stroke caught up with me, and from there they rushed me to the hospital. The first hospital they rushed me to was in Nnewi, where I spent some two months and I was referred to Teaching Hospital Nnewi and here I am. I was on a movie set with Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro. I was about to enter my car when I was struck with this problem, and since then it has been getting worse.”

He also asked Nigerians to come to his aid, saying, “I’m calling on well-minded individuals to come to my assistance, to see how they can help me. It is paralysis, half of my body. Right now, I can’t move, I can’t walk on my own. Half of my left leg is paralysed, so it is a problem for me.”
