Ayra Starr Says She Might Cry On Stage With Chris Brown | Fab.ng

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr will be performing with Chris Brown. Since her explosive debut EP in 2019 rocketed her to mainstream success, she has continued to climb the ladder of commercial achievement.

In a recent interview with Kiss FM UK, the rising superstar spilled the tea about her upcoming tour as a special guest alongside American R&B singer Muni Long.

But the real headline news was sharing the stage with none other than Chris Brown on his “11:11” tour. Ayra Starr admitted she might have initially kept her cool upon receiving the invitation; she confessed she might not be able to hold back the tears when the dream becomes reality and she performs alongside Chris Brown.

A post shared by African Folder (@africanfolder)

“I didn’t cry when I was told, but I will probably cry when I get to perform alongside Chris Brown and I see all the crowd,” the award-winning singer said.

The “11:11” tour kicks off in Detroit on June 5th, 2024. Ayra Starr is primed to set the stage ablaze with her infectious energy and collection of hit singles. Fans can expect her to perform tracks like “Rush.” The song garnered Ayra Starr a Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance, solidifying her status as a rising star.

Ruger Speaks On Jealousy In The Nigerian Music Industry

Ruger Speaks On Jealousy In The Nigerian Music Industry | Fab.ng

Nigerian singer Ruger recently appeared on the “Bahd and Boujee Podcast,” where he shared his thoughts on maintaining strong relationships within the music industry. Ruger emphasised that avoiding envy is crucial for long-lasting friendships and collaborations.

He explained to the show’s hosts, Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe, that jealousy is the biggest threat to these bonds. Ruger went on to clarify his point, suggesting that envy can only disrupt friendships if the people involved are naturally prone to being envious.

He said, “I feel like it all depends on the kind of people they are. For example, if I’m not the kind of person that is generally envious, then I can’t be envious of my fellow artistes. I’d push him to do good for himself and everything because no matter what stage I am in my life or in my music, whether I’m not really popping at that time or I’m popping, I’m still going to push him. It depends on the kind of person you are as an individual. There’s no manual to it.”

The conversation then shifted towards the topic of music industry dynamics, particularly the presence of cliques. The hosts, Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe were curious to hear Ruger’s perspective. In response, he said…

There may be cliques in the industry, but I don’t really know. I’m a clique by myself.”

He continued, emphasising the need for support, “When artists from here meet each other outside the country, there’s unity, because when we’re out there, nobody can touch us, and no one can misbehave. Everyone is supporting each other, and that’s the thing.”
